Still not used to the fact that Mother's Day in the UK (today) is a different date than in the US. I keep thinking I should call my mom to wish her a happy day buy I've still got time!

I'm writing from US, and keep missing Mothers day in UK because the cards aren't in the shops yet. Every March, my sister emails me: IT'S MOTHERS DAY TOMORROW! So I have to rush to a flower website and get some flowers round there pronto!
Then every year I promise, I will go to Hallmark in May and buy cards for next time but I always forget.

Mother's Day has become an important event on the global calendar and it is celebrated in all corners of the world. The main Mother's Day celebration takes place in the month of May though some places celebrate it in March also.

Good morrow! Yesterday was, in fact, Mothering Sunday and is officially a religious festival linked to the Christian calendar and is therefore a moveable feast (variable date) in line with Easter. So there!
