It's 11:30 on Sunday night, and I've just settled down for a long, late night to watch the Golden Globes. I don't know why I bother, because I can see all of the photos online tomorrow morning, but I've always been a sucker for seeing celebs on the red carpet - in real time. Don't ask, I don't know.
Since Peter is the smart one and has gone to bed, I've decided to bore you with my opinions. Lucky you. Click here to see the action in living color.
- Fearne Cotton is the definition of a witless blonde. How did she ever get a job? Ah but I forget... this is Hollywood!
- Rumer Willis with red [purple?] hair! She looks great.
- Ricky Gervais completely starstruck by the cast of Dexter. I don't blame him.
- Jonathan Rhys Meyers looks - and sounds - so gay. But he just got engaged, so straight he is.
- Alec Baldwin is so fat! He looks like he's going to explode.
- Josh Brolin, on the other hand, is quite hunky.
- I am dying to see Hugh Laurie - I've had a crush on him ever since Blackadder.
- Jennifer Morrison from House looks so freakishly thin. But I do like her dress.
- Glenn Close looks just a teeny weeny bit butch.
- Biiiiig hair on Drew Barrymore. Bet she's hiding a flask in there.
- David Duchovny is dreamy, sex addiction or not.
- The same thing that attacked Drew Barrymore's hair has landed in Jamie Cullen's and is wreaking absolute havoc.
- Eva Longoria just gets on my nerves. Obnoxious.
- Beyonce looks great, unbelievable bling and unbelievable boobs.
- Christina Applegate in rich yellow - she looks so classy. I can't believe she had a double mastectomy. I have so much respect for her, and for everyone else, who faces cancer and wins.
- Marisa Tomei is such a great actress but I am not loving her outfit. Lose the necklaces.
- When, oh when, will Penelope Cruz learn English? Nice dress, though.
- Wow. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher look awesome. She is unbelievable. Doesn't she ever age?? Although I'd love to see her with a great short cut; I'm getting a little tired of her super long hair. [I don't recall her asking my opinion, however. Imagine.]
- Tom Cruise brought his mum; she looks completely shell-shocked.
I must now express my absolute and utter hatred for Sky, who is only showing the Golden Globes on pay-per-view. Total rat bastards they are. I'll be damned if I give them one cent.
Looks like I'm going to bed a bit earlier than I thought! Sweet dreams.
JRM didnt get engaged. He was actually there with a new girlfriend. If you saw him or see videos shes there in a black dress and shes a New York model. Hes not gay.

It isn't so (JRM isn't gay), he just got engaged, although that never means anything, does it? - but he just sounds really effeminate and so far removed from his Henry portrayal, where he is smoking hot and sexy. I guess that's why they call it acting.

Oh me too and at least I don't have to stay up half the night anymore! I loved Anne Hathaway and Demi Moore.

I just finished watching part of season 2 of The Tudors. Watching it, it's difficult to believe that Jonathan is gay. Say it isn't so?

wow, I'm impressed - the best thing about being over here is I get to watch all this stuff now without having to stay up to the witching hour! I completely agree with you on Eva Longoria. And Rumer Willis' dress, and on nearly everything else... I forget the name of the Brit girl who won for 'Happy Go Lucky' but I thought her dress was hideous. Oh well.
