I haven't written in a while, and I'm not sure why. I feel a bit boring - not necessarily bored, but boring. Is it a reflection of the fact that Europe shuts down in August and there isn't much going on, or is it because I haven't gone to the beach and therefore don't feel it's truly summer? Or is it simply a measure of my never-ending laziness?
On a different - and interesting! - subject, Peter and I went to see The Dark Knight yesterday. I did like it; I thought it was well-directed and original, but I can't say I was entertained. Let's face it, it was a really depressing movie. Yes, Heath Ledger was great, Aaron Eckhart and Christian Bale are flat-out hot, but uplifting this flick is not. And I really can't understand why everyone thinks Maggie Gyllenhall is good-looking. She's a great actress with an awesome voice - she was perfect in *** - but I am clearly missing something because I don't get it.
